New Years 2018 Great Highway Polar Plunge
 A naked bike sprint to the Polar Plunge at Ocean Beach.

For 7 years, the Riptide Bar on Taraval in San Francisco has been hosting a Polar Plunge at Ocean Beach at 11:30. A number of participants do the plunge naked and there has been no problems with rangers or complaints. 2 years ago, the World Naked Bike Ride started doing a sprint down the Great Highway to the Polar Plunge. We meet at Lincoln and the Great Highway around 10:30am and ride at 11:00. The WNBR-SF Facebook event page has more details. It is a great way to begin the New Years. A few times in the past few years the temperatures were in the mid 60's and lo 70's. We stay at the beach for a small gathering afterwards.
