Northbank Park is located along the James River south of downtown Richmond. This section is accessible from both the Texas Beach and Pumphouse park entrances. It's a rocky area of the James River, not a sandy beach. Multiple rivulets cut the land into small islands. One of these islands is popular with nude sunbathers.
